This is such a gift for recordkeeping! You can attach all kinds of documents within QuickBooks Online.
At ZümiFi, we love attaching ALL W9 forms received from vendors. We also love attaching copies of vendor bills and/or their receipts for expenses. But you can also attach documents on the sales side as well. You can attach a copy of the sales invoice or receipt (great if it wasn’t generated directly from QBO).
On the payment side, you can attach copies of the checks used to pay. While this encompasses a lot of transaction-level items, don’t forget that you can also attach lease agreements, service agreements, contracts etc to either the vendor or customer profile itself. There are so many options to ensure that those records remain a part of your books!
