With a Master’s in Professional Accounting and years of hands-on experience, Emily specializes in supporting law firms, medical practices, construction companies, and other service-based businesses.

Building on the strong foundation established by Zumifi’s founder, Melinda, Emily brings a thoughtful mix of strategic insight, personalized service, and calm competence to every client relationship. Whether walking a client through QuickBooks Online via Zoom or streamlining financial operations, her goal is always to empower business owners with clean, actionable financials.

A Colorado native now living in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Emily is as passionate about storytelling as she is about spreadsheets. When she’s not reconciling accounts or guiding her team, you’ll find her reading fiction, writing her own stories, or soaking up beachside inspiration with her husband, Donny.

She strives to provide excellent customer service and continually exceeds her client’s expectations. As a Certified QuickBooks user, you would expect that Malou is extremely detail-oriented. She is.

You would also expect that Malou is dedicated to helping her clients understand the challenges that their businesses face daily. She does these, too – happily, promptly, and with a “can do” spirit.

With an early start in bookkeeping at just 14 years old while working in a hair salon, Adia quickly developed a knack for managing finances, handling cash drawers, and supporting inventory management. Over the years, she further pursued her passion, earning an associate’s degree in accounting technology in 2020.

Originally from Minnesota, with time spent in Florida, New Mexico, Maryland, and Colorado, she now enjoys a full life with her dog, Mugsy, and three cats: Lil Bit, Sadie Bean, and Stormy. A fan of movies, swimming, the outdoors, and reading, she also finds joy in unique hobbies, such as cross-stitching, and even once had a pet squirrel. Described as kind, funny, helpful, and a little weird, she looks forward to new adventures.

Professionally, she excels at bringing order and clarity to financial chaos, specializing in accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), payroll, reconciliations, and identifying discrepancies. Her industry experience spans film, retail, healthcare, construction, auto, and more. Nicole Pierson is an experienced Account Manager and bookkeeper with a strong background in full-cycle bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations, and cleanup projects. She began her career in bookkeeping in 2019 after re-entering the workforce as a stay-at-home mom, starting with data entry and quickly growing into a client-facing role through dedication and hands-on experience. Nicole later returned to school and earned her Associate of Science in Accounting, further strengthening her technical expertise.

She has worked primarily with service-based businesses, including real estate, landscaping, IT, and skincare, and is especially skilled in troubleshooting discrepancies and improving financial processes. Nicole is known for her analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to bring clarity and structure to complex or disorganized financials.
